What it is about:
This is part of a series I simply call "Thematic Doodles". Inspired by Surrealism and especially Max Ernst's "half-automatic method" these drawings are a more or less fortuitously assembled world, but using a common theme, here fish. This series inspired the "My Pencil Draw Worlds" moniker. I start with a simple idea, a thing, a person or animal I want to draw and while drawing my mind wanders and new ideas appear and adjust themselves to what already exists on the paper. Slowly a drawing comes together where the relationships between the different elements are a hybrid of sub-conscious and "aware" decisions.
These original drawings are inkdrawings on DIN A4 Maruman Mnemosyne Notebook paper 80g/m2 with "Title/Date" printing. All drawings are signed and dated on the front or/and on the back.
This drawing comes in a white IKEA frame with a matching white passepartout.
The drawing will be shipped insured and trackable.
